4) How we use personal information
We use personal information for the following purposes:
To respond to enquiries and communicate with you (including scheduling and follow-ups)

To operate and secure the Site, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability
To keep appropriate records and protect our rights (e.g., to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims)
To comply with legal obligations if and when they apply to a specific matter
We do not use the Site contact form to add you to marketing lists at launch. If we introduce marketing communications later, we will provide an opt-out (and an opt-in where required).
5) How we disclose personal information
We may disclose personal information to:
Squarespace (our website platform/host) and its infrastructure providers, to operate the Site and deliver contact form submissions
Service providers that support our operations (e.g., email, IT security, document management), acting under appropriate contractual obligations
Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants, insurers) where necessary
Authorities or counterparties where required by law, or where necessary in connection with a mandate (typically subject to confidentiality arrangements)
We do not sell personal information and we do not disclose personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6) Data retention

Indicative retention periods (you can amend these):
General enquiries that do not progress: up to 24 months from last interaction
Engagement-related records (if you become a client): up to 7 years after the end of the engagement
Security logs: retained for a limited period appropriate to security monitoring and incident investigation
We may retain limited information where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect our legal rights.
7) Data security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please avoid sending highly sensitive or confidential information through the Site contact form.
8) International visitors and cross-border transfers
Noema is a U.S. company. Your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where we and our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have different privacy laws than your place of residence.

to confirm whether we process your personal information and access it;
to correct inaccuracies;
to delete personal information;
to obtain a portable copy (in certain circumstances);
to opt out of certain processing (e.g., targeted advertising, sale of personal information, or profiling in furtherance of decisions with legal or similarly significant effects).
How to submit a request: email info@noema-advisory.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
Verification: we may need to verify your identity and/or authority (including for authorized agents) before responding.
Appeals: if we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response and stating the basis for your appeal.
California note: we do not sell or share personal information as defined under California law; therefore, we do not provide a “Do Not Sell or Share” link at launch. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and implement required mechanisms (including recognition of opt-out preference signals where applicable).
